Here's what I appreciate about Matt. The guy has been doing this since he was 14. Not dabbling. Actually doing it.
He grew up in New Jersey, spent time in Miami getting serious about his craft, then moved to Charlotte where he held multiple nightclub residencies and won Best DJ four years in a row. That's not a fluke. That's someone who shows up, does the work, and keeps earning it.
He eventually made his way to the Midwest and he's still very much in it. Nightclub residencies, corporate events, private parties, weddings. In the same week this guy has gone from a NASCAR event to an NBA All-Star event. Reggaeton, early 2000s, throwbacks, hip hop, top 40, a little country. He reads the crowd and goes there, and he's done enough big events across enough different settings that nothing rattles him.
Not every nightclub DJ can make that jump. Some just can't stomach it. Matt clearly can. That coolheadedness is exactly what you want regardless of what kind of event you're throwing.
